Mary K. Warren is a partner in the Business Reorganization and Restructuring Department of Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP in New York. Ms. Warren has extensive experience in banking and bankruptcy litigation, specializing in adversary proceedings and contested matters related to bankruptcy cases, as well as defending against litigation trust claims. She regularly represents major institutional creditors, agent banks and pre-petition lenders.

Ms. Warren also has significant experience with general commercial litigation and litigation in multi-jurisdictional contexts, including chapter 15 matters. She has served as lead counsel in bench trials in federal and bankruptcy courts, as well as jury trials in state court in New York.

Ms. Warren has been a regular speaker on bankruptcy litigation issues at Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association seminars and Mealey’s bankruptcy conferences.

Ms. Warren is a member of the Board of Directors of the New York City Bar Fund, the pro bono arm of the New York City Bar.

  • In re Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. Representation of Joint Administrators of Lehman Brothers International (Europe) in chapter 11 and SIPA proceedings of U.S. entities and related adversary matters.

  • In re Oakwood Homes Corp. Representation of major financial institution creditor in breach of fiduciary duty and related bankruptcy law claims asserted by litigation trustee.

  • In re Mirant Corporation. Representation of major financial institution creditor in fraudulent conveyance litigation asserted by litigation trustee.

  • In re Bear Stearns High-Grade Structured Credit Strategies Enhanced Leverage Master Fund Ltd. Representation of major investor in connection with chapter 15 proceedings and federal court litigation.
